A return to a North Worcestershire farm 20th September 2026.

It was our second visit to this farm which lies near a Roman Road, the weather was good, and the digging fair. Our optimism wasn’t rewarded and sometimes we Mercians have to remember that not every field can provide the myriad finds that many of the farms our Admin find for us! 

Nonetheless, there were some lovely farm tokens and coins, an crotal bell and a super set of livery buttons for Jo

But there was one outstanding find that was the only one nominated by members, so the find of the week was Tracey’s beautiful Roman Trumpet brooch/fibula. Congratulations Tracey!
