Find of the Weekend from the Club Weekender 12th & 13th September 2026 in Herefordshire.

Each year the Mercians have a weekend long dig with many camping over and making the most of the opportunity to dig together for longer, as well as all the fun of social opportunities!

There were lots of finds, including fibulas, roman coins, denarii & hammered coins. Two outstanding finds were nominated for Find of the Weekend by the members and after the vote the result was:

In second place was Bill’s fabulous Domitian denarius

In first place was Chris’s Iron Age toggle. Congratulations Chris!
