It was good to be back at a farm that had brought so many finds on our first visit. It was a lovely, dry, bright day and that added to the pleasure of being out in the fresh air among great company. There was a good turnout and plenty of land with great digging. The meteorological beginning of Spring and St David’s Day brought good luck with them.
Among the finds were silver coins, hammered coins, a toy canon and a crotal bell, a heraldic pendant, farm tokens, buckles and watch winders. However, two significant finds stole the show when it came to nominating for Find of the Day.
After the vote, in second place was Amanda’s amazing King John hammered coin (class 4b, moneyer Henri at London)

In first place Bill’s exquisite medieval horse pendant 1200 - 1400 (quatrefoil with a lobed pendant inside that moves). Congratulations Bill!
