Back to a familiar farm but to a new field of 27 acres, so this dig was limited to 34 diggers. For some it was a tough dig in dry and solid soil with few finds, while others uncovered bounty. Hammered coins and fibulas particularly featured, along with a spur and some silver and copper coins and a work token, not to mention the sweet little heart brooch found by Martin. The buttons and musket balls also turned up.

Members nominated four finds for our poll for Find of the day:

Danny’s fibula

Rich’s Henry VI hammered coin

Bob’s hammered

But the clear winner was Peter’s Henry VI groat - congratulations Peter!
